Sprint.com must address all possible product and services the company offers. The highest level user scenarios include:

  • Traditional consumer looking for new wireless or long distance service,
  • Traditional consumer returning to manage existing service accounts.
  • Large business customer needing data services for offices across the country and internationally.
  • Investors and Analysts looking for company news and detailed insight on corporate strategies.

5 column grid system allows complex orientation of content while overcoming traditional inverted-L design.
Account Management is primary for all user types, and is first element the eyes will see.

April 2001 - Banners are ignored, manage buried in shop lists, page two screens long.   August 2002 - Shop and manage clearly delineated, informative promotions primary content.   May 2003 - Manage becomes primary task, small promotions are contextual.   Drop to 2.00 from 8.00 seconds indicates launch of current design. This 75% decrease in download time benefits the 2.8 million visitors who visit Sprint.com each month.
